Week 10: Farewell from the 19th Challenge

Evaluating the Blogging Challenge
It’s been a long semester of blogging, even though my blogging work sometimes makes me stay up until 12 o’clock to finish, I get an extra amount of homework on my shoulders and sometimes overall just makes me tired I think the blogging challenge was a great experience. The blogging challenge has helped me improve on so many things, and without it I wouldn’t be the same today. It has helped me with writing, researching and many more. The most interesting challenge for me would be the free choice activity.

I visited blogs quite often, about 2 times a day but I rarely left comments, I’m not sure why, I just didn’t have time to write a comment. Oh, I read the flipboard magazine many, many times, it was my way of finding something to read when I was board.

It’s a great thing to do if you want to improve.
You get to socialize and learn about new and different cultures.
It’s great to keep you busy so you don’t get lazy.
There will be a lot of work to do though.
It gives you a lot of pressure also to finish it.
If you’re like me and have a lot of extracurricular activities you might even die of work.

I think the most important thing I learnt while doing this challenge is that you should take your time on your posts and don’t rush them. If you take your time you will be able to get quality posts out and if you just rush your posts, then they won’t turn out good and you won’t be happy at what you did.

Inventions

Picture
A Drawing of My Invention
Thomas Edison, Leonardo Da Vinci, Alexander Graham Bell and Galileo Galilei. What do they all have in common? All of them are inventors but, what is an invention? An invention is a device that has not been created before.

Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb and the phonograph, Leonardo Da Vinci invented the most famous flying machine, although it’s not the same as the modern helicopter but there are sketches that he made that looked like a helicopter. Alexander Graham Bell invented telephone! And Galileo Galilei, one of the best astronomer invented his famous telescope and helped with the development of clocks. These inventions sparked many other inventions and helped make things easier. Aren’t you glad they invented these things?

Some people don’t even realize how big these inventions are. There are also many other inventions that changed humanity. The internet, GPS, the microscope and the telescope. These are some inventions that you would dread living without. What I will tell you today is some of my personal favorite inventions and one invention that I have made, well I did not exactly make it, I just thought of it, let’s just say something I thought of that would make students’ life easier.

Paper
Paper would be one of my favorite inventions because, I use paper every day at school! To take notes, to draw, and much more. You use paper to make invitations, and to draw something. Yes, with the technology today you can do that with a computer, but paper is quick and easy to use. It’s also portable. You might not realize it, but paper is one of the most important things in school.

Glasses
I am farsighted myself, and I do both have glasses and contact lenses. I think glasses are good, it’s cool that you can put on something to wear and that will be able to fix your eyesight. Some people have super bad eyesight, but glasses can fix everything, granted it won’t technically fix your eyesight permanently but it can help.

My Invention
I thought about making it because I was having trouble cutting a cardboard straight. I wanted that cardboard to be specifically 9.5 inches by 9.5 inches but I was having trouble because the cardboard was quite hard. I’m not sure what to call it, I think it should be named ‘Rife Ruler Knife.’

It is a long ruler that has many types of measurements like centimeters, inches etc. On one side of the ruler there is a sharp blade that can cut through hard material. And on the other side, there is a strip of sandpaper to file down any mistakes. There are also rubber covers covering each side of the Rife.

Now how to use it? You measure your desired material and then use the blade side and press on it to cut though the material. You can also use the sandpaper side to file down rough edges.

Emma's Blog
My Favorite Blog That I Visit Often
Emma's blog is personally my favorite blog! I don’t comment a lot on her blog, but I visit it all the time for inspiration. Would I recommend you check it out? Obviously, yes! Let me tell you why:
I love her blog because it’s very organized and simple. Emma is in year 6 which means grade 6, because she lives in Australia. Emma has a lot of quality content on her blog. She also writes a lot in her blog. I like that because it’s a sign that she spends a lot of time on her blog.
I also think her personality is cool, you can tell it by the way she writes her posts. Some of my favorite posts of hers are:

Week 8: Let's Play a Game or Two

About Commenting
I love to comment! It’s cool, looking at others’ posts and talking about it. I’m sure all of you love to comment too. Today I will answer some questions about commenting etc.

“What have you enjoyed about commenting?”
One of my favorite things about commenting is that when the owner of the blog replies to your comment. It makes you feel so special. Another thing I love, is the other comments people post. It’s so fun reading other comments and seeing their opinions.

     “What is annoying about commenting?”
This is the one thing that I get annoyed by when commenting. The thing that gets on my nerves the most is when people use incorrect grammar or that their comments are only two to three words like ‘Nice blog.’ Or ‘Your blog is very good. I like it.’ It’s very annoying when people do that.

“How have you found interesting posts to comment on?”
Well, this question is easy. I usually read a lot of blogs when I’m bored. I don’t tell anyone, but I read a lot of blogs. I either go to Ms. W.’s flipbook magazine and just find an interesting blog. Sometimes, I go to the student blogging challenge website and find the page where all the bloggers are enrolled, and then I just go through the names and randomly pick a blog.

“Are your posts getting lots of quality comments? Why or why not?”
I have been getting a lot and a variety of comments recently. Some are quality comments and some are OK. Why? Since one of my posts was selected for blogging challenge, I have been getting a lot of comments! And since there are a lot of different ages participating in the blogging challenge, some are more experienced, some are just beginners.

Nook's Post -
http://21wattk.edublogs.org/2017/11/19/why-are-french-fries-called-french-fries-sbc4/

Dear Nook,
French fries! I love that you made a post about French fries since a lot of people enjoy them.  I like your post a lot, it’s really nice.  I knew that French fries originated in Belgium because there were a lot of people having a debate about it. I never knew the story though, it’s interesting that a long time back Belgians used to use potatoes and fry them to make French fries because that’s what they did with fish.
I still think that we should call them French fries, why? Like you said in your post, they called them French fries because the Belgians spoke French even though a lot of people can mistake this as the country France, more people need to learn that “French” is a language that is used in other countries and not just France. If we called them Belgian fries, then people will get confused. We are so used to calling them French fries that if we changed it then it will take a long time for people to adapt to this change.
I did a little research on my own, did you know that Belgian fries are different from the French fries we eat today? The Belgians used to call them “Les frites” The difference between Frites and fries are that they’re fried twice.
Best Regards,
Mai Thao

Tessa's Post -
http://photography28.edublogs.org/2017/11/05/free-post/

Dear Tessa,
I liked your post a lot! It’s very nice how you took something that is your passion and made a post about it. Though I don’t run often, I used to a lot last year but not in competitions or marathons. That’s so amazing that you’re the best runner on your team! Do you plan to continue running in the future?
I understand you a lot, my class is like a family too. They are annoying and hard to deal with sometimes but then when they’re gone, I really miss them and their company!
Best Regards,

Chae's Post -

http://21chaeh.edublogs.org/2017/11/05/the-best-candy-ever-made/

Dear Chae,
Your post is very nice! I used to love eating candy a lot! Now, I don’t eat it very often, but I still enjoy it when I can. The candy I dislike the most would be Twix, and in your post, it’s ranked number 3 by Top Ranker! You said that your favorite candy is York Peppermint Patty, I kind of like it but I would prefer other candies. Even though my favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip I’m not a York Peppermint Patty person.
Here are a few of the candies I like: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Twizzlers or Sour patch kids. My real favorite candy would have to be any sort of sour gummy.
Best Regards,
Mai Thao

Terrorism

Picture
Terrorism, what is it? The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians. At least that’s what Oxford Dictionary says.

Although it might have not happened to you but around the world thousands of people have
their homes destroyed, lost their families and their lives, just because of terrorist attacks.

Terrorist attacks are not new though, there has been attacks that date back to the 1st century. People who are not affected don't really care about it, but what if it was you facing these attacks? People do not understand how much stress the victims go through.

Let me name two examples, the November Paris 2015 attack, which may be surprising, but I was in Paris about five days before this happened. This attack killed at least 130 people and wounded many. The attackers, armed with assault rifles and explosives, targeted six locations across Paris. Blessed be the families of those who died in this attack and may the people who passed away rest in peace.

Another example is the  New York 9/11 attack which is the most fatal attack. In the morning of September 11,  attackers of the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda bombed the twin towers. About 2,900 people died in this attack. Again I feel so sorry for all the people who lost their lives, may their families be blessed, and their souls rest in peace.

Robert Verkaik has written an article on ‘Why it’s becoming impossible to stop the terrorists?’, and I agree with that. I understand that it's almost impossible to change someone’s mind after they get it fixed on something, but still, I want to do something to stop terrorism, may be by spreading awareness about it.

But how should I do that?

If you care about it and want to help me spread awareness, p
lease help me. And also share this with others because, the more the people understand, the more there will be to help.

Nigeria

We are learning about African countries in our Social Studies countries. In this class, we pair up with a partner and we make presentation about a given country. Our class has made presentations for almost all of the African countries.

I recently did a presentation about Nigeria.  When I was doing my research, I learned that Nigeria is facing so many problems.

Nigeria is a very diverse country and actually a very rich country in terms of resources. It has a lot of natural gas, iron ore, tin etc. Nigeria Is the also 6th leading oil exporter in the world but despite all that money, Nigeria stays as one of the “poor” countries.

Nigeria is the most populous country in all of Africa.

It is the most corrupt country in Africa today.

It has a very high unemployment rate.

Millions of people suffer from HIV/AIDS today.

Malaria together with many other diseases threaten several lives in Nigeria today.

Malnutrition is also one of the major problem of Nigeria and contributes to the death of about half a million children each year.

There are many environmental challenges also that Nigeria is facing today like; soil degradation, deforestation, air and water pollution, and rapid urbanization.

Together with political conflicts and religious tensions (between Christians and Muslims), deadly Boko Haram is also a big threat to lives and properties in Nigeria.

Bad Experience Now Funny
Blog Post Credit: Caleb
Picture

When it comes to me, I love comedy, that’s why I chose Caleb’s post titled ‘Flashback to Egypt’. I have to say I would not be able to live even for one night in a hostel like that. Those kinds of living situations are dreadful. I cannot believe how they used a closet as an elevator! Hilarious. I have one question though, was that hostel not approved by the government? I did not know that you could do that, I thought that was illegal.

I have a funny story, well at least I think it’s funny. One time I was outside playing with my friends, and then we found this piece of black rubber, I don’t know what I was thinking but I picked it up. One of my friends said it was a “Charred Insulator” so naturally, I got interested. I picked it up, it was pigmented. Every time I touched it a little too hard, it would color my hands black. One of my friends told me to get rid of it but I was a dare devil and I kept it. That friend tried getting rid of it, he started to grab it when I was not looking and threw it! But because of god’s will, I found it every time! He did this for about four times. And then, there was a sewer drain so this was the perfect chance for him to get rid of it. He threw it, and it landed perfectly in there (at least we thought it was gone). We got closer to inspect and then another friend of mine with eagle eyes spotted it. It was between some rocks and she was able to pick it up. She picked it up and everyone laughed so hard. This story is funny because after countless times of trying my friend thought he got rid of it but nope!

Organizing a Party

Blog Post Credit: Alicia
Picture
I like Alicia's blog a lot, especially the post about 'Organizing a Party' because I plan a lot of things, events for my class, game nights and movie days. My Ideal party would be one where everything is well planned out and organized, there would be some games in the beginning and then we eat, after that more games for the older kids while the younger kids play with each other, and after that music and dancing!

When I go back to my country Vietnam, I play a lot of traditional games with my cousins and friends. Bịt mắt bắt dê is one of the games I play a lot. It’s similar to Blind man’s bluff, but instead everyone is a goat and the blind man is trying to catch the goats. I play that a lot whenever there’s a party.

The one thing I absolutely need for a party would be music or a DJ. I think a party must have music, it doesn’t matter how old you are, you will dance to music! It brings everyone together and at the end of the party the memories you have, you won’t ever forget.

What Will I Do Once I Leave School?

Picture

What do you want to be when you grow up? I’m sure someone in your life has asked you that question, whether it’s your parents, relatives or some strangers. Have you ever thought that one day you might need to find a job that you are good at and that pays you a good salary? Nobody really thinks about those kinds of things.

What do I want to be? Every time someone asks me that question my answer always changes, and I don’t really have a passion for something that could be a job. But recently I would like to be a lot of things, I’ve seen so many jobs out there. However, I’m not even sure which one I like the most! I have many dreams on what I want to be. Here are a few: Marine biologist, musician, and pilot. I’ll talk about the rest later.

I feel as if becoming a marine biologist is one of my great passion. I love to learn about sea creatures and I like to go underwater and explore new things. I’m not sure if I'll do this job because for this job you need a lot of commitment and hard work, or may be that’s the reason I love it so much. I love challenging stuff! Being a marine biologist is my dream job.

I have other jobs I want to do, but I have comparatively less desire for them. I have already started to make my own music (kind of). I could be a future musician but I’m still not sure about it. Music is like in my own blood, every time I listen to something I always try to find the beat and the key of the song. Also when I hear it, I pretend to play it on piano because I can recognize the notes (for only some songs.)

My third dream job would be a pilot. I said this before but again, I love exploring new things and just travelling in general. I would like to be a professional pilot because then I can fly my family on a private jet! But I don’t think I would be fit for this job because I have the biggest fear of airplane flights.

There are some other jobs that I would also like to do. Here are a few.
-Doctor -Actor -Graphic Designer -Fashion Designer.

But my passion is and will always be a marine biologist and I want to tell everyone that you should follow you heart and dreams!

Nhảy sạp - A Vietnamese Game I Play With My Friends

Video Credit -  Bao Phuong Hoang

I love to play games! And I play games every day after school like most people do. Also everybody loves to learn about new cultures. So today I will tell you about a game I used to play in Vietnam. This game is called Nhảy sạp, you might have seen this game before because it is played in many countries.

To play this game you will need Lots of friends, music and bamboo sticks (PVC pipes, long sticks etc.)

First, you must plan out how many people will move the bamboo sticks. There can be about 4-8 people on one side (depending on how hard you want it to be) and the same number of people on the other side making pairs with the people on side one. And with each pair there will be two bamboo sticks. But before grouping people into pairs, you can put two bamboo sticks down to make a border and a place to rest your bamboo sticks. Once people assigned their places, each pair must hold one bamboo stick with one hand and the other with the other hand, and they will hit the bamboo stick on the floor with a beat, they will hit it two times and then slide/push them together and then keep repeating while music plays.

The game starts when you pair up with someone and you start to cross the bamboo sticks. The game gets harder as it progresses, and there are different levels. In each level you must cross it and go back to fully complete a level and be careful not to mess up. Once you play this game you can master it and fully complete it in less than 5 minutes.

Following are the levels you can choose from or play all:
Level – 1: Jump right foot in the first bamboo stick, jump left foot in the first bamboo stick and then jump to the space between two bamboo sticks with the right foot. Repeat until the end.
Level – 2: Jump right foot in the first bamboo stick, jump left foot in the first bamboo stick and then jump to the space before the bamboo stick you just jumped on, jump right foot in the first bamboo stick and then left after that go to the space after the bamboo stick. Repeat until the end.
Level – 3: Hold hands with your partner, jump right foot in the first bamboo stick, jump left foot in the bamboo stick and then one person jumps to the space before and one jumps to the space after the bamboo stick, and then both of you jump to the space after the stick. Repeat until the end.

You can modify these levels if you want, but this is the way I learned this game and the way I was taught. You can add or subtract levels or just do one level. You can also do this just with one person and not pairs!

Technology in My School

Picture

Technology! Most of us use it almost everyday. It's what helps us make life easier. There are so many devices we use in school but we probably don't notice it.

My school uses a lot of computer technology. Everyday, when I go to school, we have iPads every morning while we wait for our classmates, for every lesson when we don't understand something, or our teacher tells us to search it up. We also use different iPad applications to work on our school projects. We also have a computer lab where we learn ICT and do different computer projects. Our school also has two smart boards that are used by lower grades for different subjects.

Most of our homework involves technology and consists of writing, presentations and watching videos, and for all of those things we have to use internet and of course different computer applications like MS word, PowerPoint presentation apps etc. In school, we use applications like Coggle, Creative Writer, Canva, Powtoon, Prezi, StoryBird, Homestyler, VideofxLive and Windows Movie Maker, to name some.

And guess what am I doing now? Blogging which means I am using different applications to create my posts.

What about you? What different computer devices do you use in your school? Have you done any school projects using these devices? And what different applications do you use that you would like to share with me. Please tell me in the comment section below.

Why Piano is My Favorite Instrument!

(Plus a free piano cover.)

A piano cover of Alone by me.

     "Piano is my favorite instrument."
I have surely said this many times. But why? Well let me tell you.

Piano might be hard to learn at first but after a while it will be very fun and interesting but challenging!

Another reason is because while you play piano, you have to do a lot of other things that have to incorporate to the overall sound of the piano. Therefore, if you do it nicely then it will sound amazing.

There are so many songs you can play or you can make your own music. And with the piano if you're playing a song, the sound might sound similar to the real song.

Also one of my favorite part is that people admire you. If you have taken piano classes for a fairly good amount of time then you will be able to play well, read sheet music etc. And it feels amazing when people go, "Oh my god! You play the piano? You're so good!" It just makes me feel great.

And for those of you who are wondering, here is credit to the sheet music I used in my cover:

Alone Sheet Music
If you play the piano you can learn this, it's pretty simple.

A Beginners Guide to Sounding Smart
Picture

Sometimes when I speak, people don’t take me seriously, but then I pull out my secret weapon, 'Smart Talk!' And suddenly they act like I am some sort of Bill Gates.

Here, what I want to do is to pass on my talent because I see a lot of people struggle with words and end up embarrassing themselves. So, I am going to be teaching you how to sound smart while '
Speaking' and 'Writing'. You could use these tips if you must go/do something formal and you fear of doing so.
There will be a lot of things I will be talking about so get ready to receive all this information. (Also take some notes)

Speaking
When you speak, so many things are going on in the listeners' minds, especially, when you are talking to them for the first time, you must make a good impression.
Posture: Many people think this is not that important, but it is. You got to keep your back straight when speaking and keep your head and chin high. Also in a discussion, volunteer to speak about topics, don’t be shy and when speaking give a loud and clear voice.

When using the word “like” remember that you cannot use it in a way that is incorrect otherwise it may set an impression that you lack knowledge.
Example- Today I saw Kait and she looked like fabulous.
You see the way the word like is used as a sentence filler when you cannot think of a word. You can avoid this by not saying the word at all or by replacing the word with more emphasis on it or describing it.

Example- Today I saw Kait and she looked fabulous.
Here is another example.
Incorrect use- Guys yesterday my cat like jumped on to a tree, it was like so cool!
Correct use- Guys yesterday my cat jumped on to a tree, it was so cool!
But it still does kind of sound like a bit weird. Here are some more tips. Do not say “guys” in a formal conversation. Do not use the word “so” often.
Final- Yesterday my cat jumped on to a tree, it was cool!
Doesn’t it sound much better? But I still have some more information, these are just some minor tips.

When you speak, don’t stutter, make sure you know what you are about to say or else when you speak the words are just not in order and people might get an impression that you cannot speak English well.
Smile when you speak and be confident, don’t get distracted by things and do not fidget. Don’t play with your hands or dance from side to side.
Eliminate words that are useless, with this tip you'll sound more complete and full.
Made up words/internet slang cannot be used, well in a formal conversation at least.
And that is about it for speaking. If you have more information you would like to share with me, you can do so in the comments below!

Writing
When writing an essay, it can be hard because you want it to sound formal and nice but at the same time you must give your own style of writing and sometimes it can’t be done, but with some of these tips it might just help you!
First, the most important thing is language! You must use proper grammar and spelling always! It’s very important. And when writing, sometimes you must eliminate some words you would use when you are speaking.

Example- First of all, all of you have to wear a jacket when coming to the party.
You see that I said first of all and have to but that’s not correct. Let us try that one more time.
Example- First, all of you must wear a jacket when coming to the party.

You see I deleted 'of all' and changed 'have to' into 'must.' Second thing is remembering to use a comma and full stop. Sometimes I read people’s essays and there is no comma, which drives me crazy. Don’t use the word “and” often. And remember to make paragraphs, don’t just write continuously. And I have one big amazing trick.

This is a big trick to help you boost how people see you. When writing something, you sometimes must get a little smart with your words. And there is this website called thesaurus.com. So how does this trick work? When you write a sentence you just use normal words right? So with this trick you can change some normal words into fancy words by finding some synonyms. Look it sounds complicated but it’s not.
Example- Penguins live in the cold.
Example- Penguins, one of the few flightless birds on this planet earth live in an uncommon environment compared to other species and avians. They can be found wondering in the icy barron land of Antarctica and other extreme cold climates.
You see? Doesn’t that sound way more sophisticated. And you also must notice that I added extra information surrounding that one topic.

I have comprised a tutorial on how this works for all of you to see.
Example- Did you read the book hunger games yet? I like Katniss a lot.
Step- 1. Go to thesaurus.com.
Step-2. Add some extra info just to sound smart.
Example- Did you read the book hunger games yet? I like Katniss a lot.
Example- Hunger games is quite a fascinating book, it has a lot of energy and mystery in the book. Have you read it? If not, I must suggest you do. Katniss one of the main characters is a fantastic bower and I get quite happy when I see her, I must say I like her a lot.
Step-3. Search in thesaurus.com some of the words that you used in the sentence and replace them. Most of the main words but do not replace words like “I, a, the, etc.”

Just pick any of the words, but I mostly choose words that sound the most sophisticated. And if you do not know the words, I suggest you look it up, so you can use that word again in the future.
Step-4. When finished with some words it should look something like this.
Example- Hunger games is without reservation a riveting book, it has tons of vitality and mystification in the novel. Have you referred to it? If not, I highly advocate you do. Katniss one of the main attributes is a ludicrous bower and I get entirely content when she is on screen. I requisite to say I fancy her.

I told you it would work. I hope you remembered to take down notes. And I think that is all I must say. If you want some more detail or information on what I just said, please click on the links below:

And I give credit to Jaiden from JaidenAnimations for the thesaurus trick. I used the sentence that she constructed in the video for the first example.
You can find her video here for a more detailed instruction on how to use the trick:

International Day of the Girl Child
Violence Against Women

Picture

Have you ever faced any sort of violence? Well, a lot of women face different types of violence. But what is it and why?

Global estimates published by WHO indicate that about 1 in 3 (35%) women worldwide have experienced physical violence which also includes sexual violence by their life partners as well as strangers.

Violence against women by their life partners is the worst case. Global estimates published by WHO indicate that as many as 38% murders of women are committed by men, that’s because men think it’s okay to do whatever they want to women because they’re married so they take their stress out on their wives.

One of the factor is low education and uneducated people abuse children.

Another factor is that girls see violence in family.

Harmful use of alcohol is also one of the reason people get violent.

Then there are cultural set ups where gender inequality and violence against women is accepted.

Unfortunately these things can negatively affect women’s physical and  mental health and many of them get physically sick very early. Some develop HIV AIDS.

In my opinion, there should be more education for both genders whether at home or at school.

Girls should be able to earn money for themselves because being dependent on men for everything they need can also make men violent.

What do you think?

Tea Party

Picture
When I was a little kid, unfortunately, my mom passed away from cancer and I started living with my stepfather. He was my stepfather because my real one had a divorce with my mom. I noticed quite a few weird things about my stepfather. He would often ask people if they have had a history of cancer in their family and he would always have tea parties with new people every day. Every night I would hear a shudder shriek of a person at exactly twelve o’clock, and the sound of a chainsaw being used.
My step dad would usually bake cookies and one time I ate one of them, “No Annie, don’t eat them, they’re not meant for you.” My step dad had shouted, and I had to spit it out but I felt sick, weak and dreadful. What did he mean? “They’re not meant for you.” As if it was meant for someone else. My step dad always gave me the scariest chills, he was big tall and creepy.
One night when I was having hard time sleeping, I came out of my room. I heard a scream coming from the basement. “What is going on?” I thought. I went down and saw something I dreaded the most. It was a dead body tied to a chair, blood everywhere and the body cut into pieces. Very soon, I heard the footsteps a big person. I rushed to the closet and hid in it. I was scared. I couldn’t see anything but I could hear faint sounds.
“Who is this person? Why is there a killer on the loose in my house and how did he get into my house?” So many questions I had but there was no answer. Then I heard somebody whispering my name. “Oh my sweet Annie, next is your turn. I am sure, I'm going to miss you when you're gone.
But why? Why did he want to murder me? Before I could figure it out, the sun went up. I tried to be brave and come out of the closet, but to my surprise, there was nobody around in the basement. I immediately ran upstairs to my room. My dad was in the kitchen preparing the same cookies for the breakfast. He asked me, “Annie would you like to join me for tea this afternoon?” I had to find out why he was doing this, so I agreed. “Sure dad!” I answered cheerfully. My step dad went to work and I sat on my bed wondering what to do. I rushed down to the basement again to find any clue but apparently, nothing was there except a chair and two closets, one locked and the other one that I hid in, so I went back up. I thought of a plan.
“Annie I’m home! Let’s have our tea party,” dad shouted as he entered the house in the afternoon. I thought, “This might be the last time I get to live.” I sat down and pretended to eat a cookie and falling straight on the ground. I heard him say, “Finally Annie’s also gone.” He brought me down to the basement.

What do you think will happen to Annie? Does she make it out alive? Please finish the story in the comments below.
